Join Hoosier Academies for a
FREE
, private show of Samite.
Founder of the non-profit
organization Musicians for Peace, Samite Mulondo presents his multimedia
performance experience: Journey to the Soul of Africa. A Ugandan refugee and
musician, Samite, started the organization to "enable musicians throughout the
world to share their music to promote peace, understanding, and harmony among
peoples with special emphasis on the displaced or distressed."
Hoosier Academies will have the unique opportunity to
experience Eastern African musical instruments, rhythms, and melodies. Samite's
joy for life is evident throughout his inspiring performance. Samite's broad
perspective, encompassing cultures fromAfrica's East coast to it's West, allows
students a comprehensive look into the foods, housing, education, music and
myriad other cultural aspects. Samite even entertains with photos of some of the
distinctive and rare animals native to Africa. Visit
